Abstract

Cold Paving Hot Mix Asbuton (CPHMA) is an alternative technology used for road preservation, particularly for rapid patching works in Indonesia. However, its application still faces challenges due to the tropical climate with high rainfall intensity, which can affect the durability of the mixture. This study aims to evaluate the performance of CPHMA with the addition of lime filler as a fine material. The evaluation was carried out using the Marshall method on samples with varying lime contents (0%, 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, and 2%) and compaction temperatures (30°C, 90°C, and 150°C). The parameters analyzed included volumetric properties (VIM, VMA, and VFB) and mechanical properties (Stability, Flow, and Marshall Quotient). The results showed that at 30°C, all mechanical parameters failed to meet the specifications. At 90°C, the mechanical parameters met the standards, although the VIM value remained high and VFB did not meet the requirements. Meanwhile, the compaction temperature of 150°C provided relatively good performance, with Stability and MQ values meeting the standards, although the Flow value at 2% lime content did not meet the specification, and some lime content levels for VIM and VFB parameters were still outside the acceptable range. Therefore, although the 150°C compaction temperature yielded relatively good performance, it cannot yet be considered the optimum condition because several parameters still did not meet the required specifications.
