Abstract

The current earthquake resistance planning procedure for building and non-building structures is SNI 1726:2019 as a revision of the earthquake resistance planning procedure for building and non-building structures SNI 1726:2012. SNI 1726:2019 is based on the 2017 Earthquake Area Map and adopts the provisions of ASCE 7-16 with several modifications adapted to Indonesian conditions while SNI 1726:2012 refers to the ASCE 7-10 code and the 2010 Indonesian Earthquake Map. There are several design response spectral parameters and design spectral acceleration (S1, Ss, Fa, Fv, SDS, and SD1) measured and observed in this study. This paper aims to compare the design response spectral acceleration parameters of SNI 1726:2012 with SNI 1726:2019 in regencies/cities in West Sumatra Province. The results of the study indicate that the spectral response value of the MCER earthquake acceleration for short periods (Ss) The parameter value of the MCER earthquake acceleration spectral response has increased with a percentage ranging from 0.92% - 24.71% in 10 cities/regencies. with the highest increase occurring in Bukittinggi, 5 cities/regencies. experienced a decrease with a percentage ranging from 1.67% - 20.51%. The spectral response value of the MCER earthquake acceleration for a period of 1 second (S1) experienced an increase with a percentage ranging from 0.3% - 23.5% in 7 cities/regencies. with the highest increase occurring in Bukittinggi, 6 cities/regencies. experienced a decrease with a percentage ranging from 4.2% - 21.25% with the highest decrease in Tanah Datar Regency (Batusangkar).
