Coastal reclamation areas are often characterized by high impervious surfaces that significantly increase surface runoff and pose a risk of flooding. This study aims to analyze the design flood discharge and develop an environmentally friendly drainage system in the Open Yard of the Dr. Salasa Namudat Reclamation Area in Fakfak Regency. The methodology includes hydrological analysis using Log Pearson Type III methods, and rainfall intensity calculation based on Mononobe approaches. Design discharge was determined for return periods of 2, 5, 10, and 25 years, followed by evaluation of the capacity of channels, culverts, inlets, and outfalls. Results indicate that the existing drainage system is inadequate for handling peak discharges at certain return periods. Redesign is needed, taking into account time of concentration and runoff coefficients based on land use. The integration of Low Impact Development (LID) strategies—such as bioswales, rain gardens, permeable pavements, and green roofs—proves to be effective in reducing surface runoff, enhancing infiltration, and supporting ecological sustainability. The LID approach offers a promising solution for surface flow management in reclaimed areas with high water saturation conditions.
