Sustainable development in coastal areas requires a foundation system that is not only strong enough to withstand loads, but also adaptive to diverse soil characteristics. This study aims to analyze the bearing capacity and settlement of bore pile foundations in five-story office and residential buildings in the coastal area of Berawa, Bali. The analysis was conducted using the finite element method with Plaxis 2D software to model soil-structure interactions realistically. Soil data was obtained from Standard Penetration Test (SPT) results to a depth of 35 meters, showing various soil layers, ranging from fill, clay, sand, to sandy rock with N-SPT values between 2 and 60. Modeling was performed on bore piles with a diameter of 0.6 meters and a length of 25 meters to assess bearing capacity and vertical deformation. Simulation results showed that the ultimate bearing capacity reached 4,800–5,000 kN, with a allowable bearing capacity of around 1,500–1,700 kN. The total settlement ranged from 10.5 to 14.2 mm, which is still below the safety limit according to SNI 8460:2017. The results of this study indicate that bore pile foundations have stable and safe performance for use in disaster-resistant infrastructure development in coastal areas. In addition, the use of Plaxis 2D proved to be effective in accurately analyzing soil and foundation behavior.
